your dating life
stays yours.

Spill is operated by Gireesh Bogu. This policy explains what the iPhone app processes, what stays on your device, and what is sent to outside services when you choose to use those features.
Your saved stories, transcripts, people, profile preferences, Spill Reads, Playbook/Fits results, and Ask Spill history are stored locally on your iPhone.
Recorded audio is deleted after its transcript is accepted.
When you choose to use Spill Read, Ask Spill, Playbook, or Fits, Spill sends the relevant story text, follow-ups, profile preferences, questions and, where needed for cross-story features, the first-name labels you entered to Spill's backend and then to OpenAI to generate the requested result.
Spill's backend requests OpenAI Responses API processing with store:false. OpenAI's own privacy and API data-control terms govern its processing of API data.
Spill's backend runs on Google Cloud. Spill does not persist raw dating stories, profile text, questions, prompts, or AI model output in its backend database or application logs.
Infrastructure providers may process ordinary technical request information needed to deliver and secure the service.
Sign in with Apple is used to authenticate you. Spill's server processes the Apple account identifier to verify the login and issue a Spill session.
The backend stores a pseudonymous account hash for usage controls and product operations, together with first/last sign-in time, sign-in count, platform, and latest app version/build. Spill does not persist your Apple email address or display name on its backend.
You may choose to enter age, city, work, dating goals, family plans, religion/culture, values, partner preferences, hard-nos, and free-form dating stories across any stage — planning, dating, or ended. Some of this may be sensitive personal information.
It stays local unless it is relevant to an AI feature you choose to use, in which case the relevant text is processed as described above.
Spill uses Apple's Speech framework to turn recordings into text and prefers on-device recognition where supported. Apple services are governed by Apple's own privacy terms.
Spill does not upload the recorded audio to its own backend or to OpenAI.
The in-app Send Feedback action opens a Tally form in an in-app browser. Only information you choose to submit through that form is sent to Tally.
Please do not include private dating-story details you do not want to share in feedback.
Spill does not run advertising SDKs, sell your dating data, or use your dating data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
You can review AI consent inside YOU → PRIVACY.
You can delete your Spill account from YOU → ACCOUNT → DELETE ACCOUNT. Successful deletion removes local Spill content, deletes Spill's pseudonymous server-side usage/account record, ends the Spill session, and revokes Spill's Sign in with Apple authorization.
For a privacy request, account issue, or question about this policy, use the support form and write “privacy” in your message.
